Stake needs an accepted government document in your own name. If you do not have a passport or national ID card, check whether a driver's licence or another listed document is accepted for your country. The accepted list on the verification page is the final word.
01What is usually accepted
- Passport.
- National ID card.
- Driver's licence, where listed for your country.
- Other documents named on the verification page.
The list can differ by country and by level, so read it in your own account before preparing anything.
02If you have none of them
- Check the list again. A licence or residence document may be accepted.
- Ask support which alternative applies to you.
- If you need to obtain an ID, do that first. It is slower than you hope and faster than a dispute.
- Do not use someone else's document, even a relative's.
03Quality rules
- Valid and in date.
- All four corners visible, no glare.
- Original photo, not a screenshot.
- Name and date of birth match your account.
